![]() In respect of Christine’s request there will be no services, wakes nor funeral. He spent quality time sitting and chatting with Christine throughout her illness. In addition, there was Gene, who worked as a Senior Companion as part of a program offered by the University of Maine. The family would like to thank all the Hospice workers of Maine General of Waterville. Her tenacity and strength will not be forgotten. Memories of her will continue to be woven into the family line. For work, Christine was an employee at Jim’s Ready Peel in Unity, ME for a time and was a homemaker, working hard keeping things in order. The assortment grew with each gift from family and friends. She also treasured her collection of butterflies and owls and we cannot leave out Garfield. ![]() They had many good times in the years they knew each other. Two of Christine’s close friends were Theresa Hubbard & Merna Cowan, whom Christine enjoyed going to Beano with. Pictures of family were proudly displayed on the walls and shelves of her home She had gained several friends throughout her life. Christine celebrated many joyful occasions with all of them through the passing years. She had much love for her family and extended family. She cherished them and her fourteen nieces and great-nieces thirteen nephews, great-nephews and great-great-nephews, along with four mates. She is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren of ME, NY and UT. She has four surviving sisters, Thelma May Sylvester Bishop of Unity, Marie Ellen Sylvester Bishop of Troy, Helen Leona Sylvester Dawson of Troy, and Barbara Ann Sylvester Cote of Winthrop. She was predeceased by her father, Percy Earl Sylvester when she was only eleven years old, her mother, (Marion) Louise Moreau Sylvester, and all three of her brothers Robert Earl Sylvester of South Unity, Edward Eugene Sylvester of South Unity and an infant brother, Frank Sylvester of South Unity.Ĭhristine was survived by her former husband Ralph Carl Bishop of Troy, they had two children a son, Carl David Bishop of Troy (and Deland FL) and a daughter, Ruth Ellen Bishop Hodgson of Pittsfield. She was born in South Unity Dec 17th, 1938, where she grew up with her six siblings. Unable to be treated due to complications, she bravely fought cancer for three years.
